Small town with a friendly community. Rural area but has a hospital in town, small town Texas feel. Southern hospitality is evident everywhere. Community improvement is constant. Everything except for a mall in this town, i.e. grocery stores, doctors, dentist, ophthalmologists, pretty much any non-specialized medical service is available. Only down side is there isn't much to do at night if your wanting to go out.
I would say that Gatesville is just an average small town. I have grown up here all my life and through my experiences, I have found that it is quite different than other towns in the area. Everybody knows everybody, the gossip is ridiculous, and the citizens in high ranked official positions are halfway corrupt. Gatesville is the modern day wild west.
