I love it here have been living in this town for 8 years and it never fails to dissapoint. I love how everyone is so friendly. The town restuant is amazing. I really enjoy it because it is so small and exlusive, I hope it stays that way. While the diversity is not very good evryone is very librel and open to all kinds of people. There is a nice little pool with a swim team for children. (ages 2-18) If yyou are looking for school there is a lovely public shcool Garret Park Elementry , a Nursery School. Georgetown prep and Holy Cross are good private schools. The most beautiful ever. I would even use the word Arboretum because this town is very beautiful and there are lots of trees. it is the suburbs of DC so there is a lot to do around us.
Garrett Park was an excellent place to grow up. In general, the DC area can lack a culture of involvement with your local community, but all the adults I knew in Garrett Park were strong role models of civic engagement. Anyone would be lucky to live here.
I'm a resident in Garrett park. Its a lovely neighborhood with a lot of friendly people. Extremely safe with no crime. If you want a small neighbor hood this is it. The houses are beautiful and historic and every house has its own design. The neighbor hood is very beautiful with its own forest, so many lovely traditions.
