I've loved living in Garner. It's a small town that has everything you need within a 15-minute drive. You can find grocery stores, churches, parks, convenience stores, movie theaters, shopping centers, and more! You tend to bump into the same people somewhat often, so it's easy to build relationships.

Garner is a good suburb of Raleigh. With affordable housing, plenty of food options, and occasional community festivities, Garner has a lot to offer. The only negative is there is not a lot to do in the area. There is not a huge community feel in my experience. One suggestion I would have to the town of Garner would be to add shops unique to the area instead of just adding franchises that are accessible 20 minutes away in multiple directions. Overall Garner is a good place to raise a family if you are willing to take the drive into Raleigh frequently and battle I-40 traffic.
Garner, North Carolina is a great place to live! Our town is growing, but it still has a small-town, close-knit feel. We are only 15 minutes from the middle of downtown Raleigh. The members of our town council really take planned development seriously and are careful in their choices for our community. The members of our police department are very helpful and they sponsor special programs for its citizens. We have great parks. Quirky, but true - Garner celebrates Fourth of July on the third of July!!
