Recently moved to Gardena from Culver City initially wasn’t sure about the move, but wow what a great decision. Got in early enough to buy a home (for a fraction of the cost vs Culver) and this town is absolutely gentrifying with local breweries popping up and so much great food. The Aerospace industry is taking over SW Gardena. Great place to live!

Gardena is a city that likes to represent the people that live in it. They like to get the community involved. Some projects include the Cinco de Mayo Festival, Movie Night, and the Keep Gardena Beautiful Day. The Cinco de Mayo Festival lets the community participate in the parade as well as letting them be vendors at the festivities that follow the end of the parade. The Movie NIght is an event that happens at various parks and centers throughout Gardena. And the Keep Gardena Beautiful Day is a day where the community comes out and works to make the city a better place. Although there is plenty of beauty throughout the city, there is obviously a downside. In certain parts, there are gangs thrive. Although, the Gardena Police have done a fantastic job at keeping them at a minimal level. Overall, Gardena is a unique city with minor problems. It is a work in progress that is moving along with the help of the community and will continue like this as long as people help their city.
Gardena is full of nice, considerate people that will take the time to say good morning to you. Ever since I moved here, there rarely has been loud noises or rude neighbors. If you're considering visiting or moving here you should!
