Garden ridge is a very well kept conservative enclave in Comal County. People move to Comal county because it is conservative, unlike Bexar county. It is a very well off and mostly white town, and people tend to be Native Texans with a lot of Old Stock German families that have been here for generations. Traffic is very bad because there are only 2 main roads in Garden Ridge. I love how it is conservative with lots of Trump flags in 2020!
Garden Ridge is a large community with an extremely low crime rate. Most of the residents consist of older veterans and large families that are quite well-off, and many are conservatives. Many of the people are friendly and hospitable. The library is modest with a nice selection of books and community events tend to be large and occasional. A quiet, cozy atmosphere exists throughout, and it is sometimes interrupted by gunshots from the shooting range nearby. A small set of one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants are close by, as is a gas station.
Garden Ridge is a small, quiet town and is in between New Braunfels and San Antonio, making the travel time decent.
