I love that Fuquay-Varina is small geographically. All of the local shops and restaurants give a home feel to the community, as it's very likely to see someone that you know! It makes it feel like a community, rather than being a big city in which we don't even know someone that may be our neighbor.
Although I love the small area, it does need to grow as far as the land area. Fuquay-Varina's population is rapidly growing. Heavy traffic is almost always present at any time of day. There's no drive that can be made in this town without staying at a light behind a long line of cars.

In my experience it is a plus that we have so many restaurants nearby so it provides the people with an easy decision and you don't have to drive far because it's all in the same area. Although, there are a few negatives beginning with how at the 5 corner intersection, for those attempting to make a left turn there is not nearly enough space leading to a build up of cars. There needs to be a larger shoulder at this intersection to alleviate any possible drama that is yet to come.
I have lived in Fuquay-Varina my entire life. I have watched it grow from a tiny town with a single Winn Dixie to the booming suburb it is today. The experience has been bitter sweet to say the least, but it's home! The major downside is the traffic for sure. For a small area, there is plenty to do and always a new business opening up to add to the variety Fuquay has to offer everyone.
