I like Fuquay-Varina because the town has a very personal, entertaining presence. We have well-loved small businesses, an engaged, caring police department, and even hilarious Facebook and Instagram meme pages that poke fun at nearby towns and ourselves. Most people in Fuquay have pride in our little town and how much we are growing. Although there is diversity, everyone is united by small, quirky things like a hatred of the new medians downtown or the horrible traffic due to the railroad that used to split Fuquay and Varina before the towns merged. I love our town's history and the sweet people that live here. We also host a balloon festival every year that attracts thousands! Fuquay-Varina is moving up in North Carolina and I am proud to be a citizen of our town.

Fuquay Varina is an "up & coming" suburb of Raleigh. The downtown areas (Fuquay & Varina Station) boast great shopping and eateries. The quaint Fuquay Springs park is my favorite outdoor area to study on a beautiful day. On cold or rainy days, you can find me at The Mill coffee shop with a good book, working on a school project, or studying for my next quiz!
I have had only positive experiences in Fuquay Varina, I like the schools in the area. It has a small town feel with conveniences of a large city. I enjoy the city events such as the food truck rodeo on Sunday. What I dislike the most in the public works yard debris pickup. The process is that you have to call the town during seasons when fall leaves are prevalent. It would save me much time to have a schedule of the pickup times. If the truck pickups the neighboro yard debris, why can't the truck pickup debris when its in the neighboro. It is a waste of time to have to call and schedule a pickup, when the truck sees the trash on the street. I do not agree with the city turning off your water when you are one day late and your bill is only $50.00. It cost more than $50 to have the technician reconnect the water.
