Frenchtown is both a beautiful and bizarre town to grow up in. Located in a small valley just 20 minutes from a bustling University city, you can escape the chaos that surrounds you by simply walking out your back door. We are blessed here in Frenchtown by the breathtaking mountain ranges, and the way the light plays in the sky. There is never a dull moment with the weather, and we have a saying here, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." The community has been struck hard with recent violence, yet we stand stronger than ever. I truly believe that everyone needs to live in a small town, like Frenchtown, for at least 6 months of their life. I've been here for a little under 16 years, and nowhere else compares to the complexity and beauty of Frenchtown.
Frenchtown is practically a rural area of Missoula. There is a very good school and a few shops that make up the actual "town." Other that that there are farms and houses. However, it is about a 15 minute drive into Missoula, where you can have pretty much anything you need. Frenchtown is definitely a place for people who want the quiet rural style, but are still just a few minutes from everything else.
I love Frenchtown, I wish I could live here my whole life. It is a beautiful place, located in the valley, next to the famous Clark Fork River.
