Fremont Township Reviews
Unlike surrounding towns in the area, Mundelein does not have much to offer in the local business scene. Shops that have been here for years are either closed or taken over by a similar business. An older crowd takes advantage of the area's few restaurants, such as Crossroads or Park Street, but there is not much else to entertain a younger crowd. Small shoe shops, health food stores, and Hispanic grocery stores dominate the empty parking lots of Mundelein. Although a cheap and crime-free place to live, it does not house much opportunity for small businesses to thrive.
As said before, Mundelein does not have many large or small businesses to offer a job. Middle-aged people work out of town, and many are employed by Abbott or AbbVie, housed in nearby Lake County. For students, the best option is working at a fast food chain or a daycare in Mundelein. There are a large number of golf courses and a local waterpark that students often take advantage of. A large percentage of both middle aged people, young adults, and students commute out of Mundelein to their part time or full time jobs, though.
In the area, we have typical Midwestern weather. Hot summers, cold winters, and everything in between characterize the weather in Mundelein and all of Lake County. The weather can be quite unpredictable on a day-to-day basis, and recently winters have reached subzero temperatures. All in all, there's nothing to not love about the diversity of the weather.
