I moved to Fremont when I was 13 years old. I finished the 8th grade in my the city, while living in Fremont. When high school rolled around, I started at a school a few blocks down from my new home. At first, I did not enjoy being away my familiar environment, but once I opened myself up to Fremont's environment, I began to love it. I met friends and even had more freedom to enjoy the city and hang out with new friends. My mom felt much more giving me freedom in Fremont. It's nice, quiet, clean, and has a lot of business. Overall, Fremont is awesome even with it's growing population. What a place to be!

The Fremont of today is nowhere near as appealing as it was even 10 years ago. It was overdeveloped, and the traffic now is awful. The city of Fremont leaders sold out to developers. Fremont still has some good qualities, but overall it's not that good anymore. The population diversity Fremont once has changed a lot. I'm all for diversity, but the Fremont of today is mostly Indians. Fremont is also very expensive. A little fixer upper home will sell for $700k+. No thanks! It was nice at one time, but those days are long gone. Oh, and there's way more homeless living on the streets of Fremont than at any other time.
Even though Fremont is a very safe environment, there is not much to do. The closest mall is in the next city and there is nothing for a young person to do. The Block at Pacific Commons ha been further developing over the last years to give teens a place to hang out. The community is diverse and not diverse at the same time. however because the area is so nice and relatively cheap, many people employed in Silicon Valley and San Francisco are migrating to this suburb. There are a lot of condos and apartment complexes erecting all over the city. Fremont Unified School district has no equal!
