Fredonia has been an amazing town to grow up in. We have four beautiful seasons, are surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and the beaches of Lake Erie. My school district is consistently ranked among the top schools in NY for acadmeics, music and athletics. As the 2020 winner of Small Business Revolution, you'll find that we love and support all of our local small businesses.
I have lived in Fredonia for 3 years now. It is a small community, but a nice place to live. There are shops, restaurants, village life. The city of Buffalo is about 45 minutes away on the thruway. We get all 4 seasons and plenty of snow in the winter. It is a great place to live.
Fredonia is truly the perfect small-town feel. You will walk down the street or walk into Walmart and instantly recognize a dozen people. The atmosphere is home-like and it's a very safe environment. It is the perfect place to raise a family and I too will probably return to raise my family here. It is everybody knows everybody places right on Lake Erie and, if you do want a bigger city feeling, Buffalo is only 40 minutes away. You are also right by Niagara Falls and, as a football fan myself, the Buffalo Bills play an hour away. I love Fredonia, New York
I live in Fredonia and I wouldn't say it's a bad place. The community is just like any other small town. There's not much to do but it's peaceful. snow gets pretty bad but that just comes with living in western new york due to lake erie. Would not come to fredonia if i didn't have any family but would stop by if going on a road trip to somewhere else. we have cute local restaurants that serve good food. There's quite a bit of bars and our school was just awarded a blue ribbon from washington D.C. we are the only one in our county.
Fredonia is a great community! The college students compliment the older population in different ways such as community outreach, volunteer opportunities, and college events.
Growing up I didn't spend as much time in Fredonia. We lived about 20 miles away, so we traveled to Fredonia but only on occasion. I used to enjoy coming to the point and the local parks! Now, I stay here quite often and even am employed in Fredonia! The people in the area are so friendly, and its nice to see an increase in businesses! Fredonia has a lot to offer. I'm certainly glad I decided to visit!
As a foreign student, I like starting my American experience in Fredonia. It has its benefits starting from a welcoming atmosphere. My suitemates haven't stereotyped me in no way. In regard to the college life, the city itself is too very open-minded. Americans love to party, and sometimes teenagers don't know their limits. Being a college town in today's time is hard, but these folks have handled it the way it is supposed to without any harm to the students nor themselves.
Its a very nice town, but can get very cold in the winter. People are really friendly and You can find a few things when you explore it.
Fredonia would be a wonderful place to raise a family if more was done about the drunk college students. Almost weekly myself or my neighbors were getting something stolen or smashed. So we now leave our porches bare because they even steal chairs and tables. The local police said they would “ try to increase patrol” but I’m not holding my breath. I recommend living as far out of the village as possible and to look at other local areas.
I have lived in Fredonia for my entire life. I have been very satisfied with this town. It is very family friendly and a safe place to live. Everyone in this medium sized town is very kind to one another and everyone is always helping others out. Our community also comes together for festivals and parades annually and fun for all ages. This makes our town exciting and fun to live in while also feeling safe and family friendly.
I have been living in Fredonia, for most of my life. I am very satisfied with my town and how it is running. It is very family friendly and we have a lot of town involvement during our festivals.
Fredonia is a good town to grow up in, but does not have much to offer. There are not many activities to do there.
I've been familiar with this town since I was in early middle school and it's always so welcoming and bustling. Because of the college campus nearby, creativity and expression flow through the town on ever occasion

Fredonia is your typical area of stores, supermarkets, movie theater gas stations , schools and so on. I have known this area for years. It is friendly most of the time. You can certainly get your groceries done.
Fredonia is a warm and welcoming town with helpful, friendly people. There is a community here that is supportive and thriving. Fredonia is a wonderful place to live!
The village of Fredonia NY is a charming little town. located just minutes away from SUNY Fredonia, the village is home to many of the schools faculty and staff. During the school year the downtown area is bustling with both students, as well as town members. The village has a variety of fairs during the summer months that are wildly popular among the community, these are countered by the huge amounts of events sponcered by the college during the year. You can go from enjoying a symphonic orchestra concert, to enjoying a funnel cake at a downtown fair. Fredonia is a wonderful, lively location. Not to mention the abundance of employment opportunities thanks to the bustling and ever growing community.
