One of the things I love the most about Fredericksburg is the amount of history that exists in the city. In my neighborhood, there are two cemeteries that date back to the Civil War era, several battlefields that were integral to American history, the majestic plantation house that belonged to George Washington's sister, and Mary Washington's grave site. The downtown area of Fredericksburg is another wonderful aspect of the city. There are a variety of restaurants, antique shops, and historic sites, and on the weekend there is the ever popular farmer's market!

I enjoy living in Fredericksburg. It is an ideal place if you enjoy a peaceful neighborhood but still would like to find cool places to hang out with friends. Places like Central Park and Oldtown. In Oldtown Fredericksburg, you will learn about the civil war history that took place in the small town and enjoy delicious local restaurants. My favorite is the famous pizzas from Benny Vitali's! You also dont want to miss out on the fun parades that they had on December or their art galleries. Overall Fredericksburg is a friendly place that will welcome any family into the neighborhood.
Fredericksburg Virginia is a beautiful small town rich in civil war history. There are four major battlefields and many other historical sites such as George Washington's boyhood home. Visitors can walk around historical downtown and enjoy the shopping, food and historical sites. Trolley tours are a favorite among visitors as well. It is a great way to bring education and family fun together.

The city sits along the Rappahannock River, that spans miles where locals enjoy fishing, swimming, and canoeing. There are parks and scenic walking trails along the river leading into town.

Just a few miles from Downtown is a major shopping center called Central Park, and the Spotsylvania Town Center with hundreds of stores and restaurants.

I love Fredericksburg! I grew up here. I feel privileged to have grown up in a place full of history and beauty. It has virtually no crime and is a great place to raise a family!
