Fredericksburg Virginia is a beautiful small town rich in civil war history. There are four major battlefields and many other historical sites such as George Washington's boyhood home. Visitors can walk around historical downtown and enjoy the shopping, food and historical sites. Trolley tours are a favorite among visitors as well. It is a great way to bring education and family fun together.

The city sits along the Rappahannock River, that spans miles where locals enjoy fishing, swimming, and canoeing. There are parks and scenic walking trails along the river leading into town.

Just a few miles from Downtown is a major shopping center called Central Park, and the Spotsylvania Town Center with hundreds of stores and restaurants.

I love Fredericksburg! I grew up here. I feel privileged to have grown up in a place full of history and beauty. It has virtually no crime and is a great place to raise a family!

Fredericksburg is a beautiful, historic area. There's plenty of battlefields and monuments to observe and learn about, however, the cost of living is way too high in this area! Housing is ridiculous, luxury apartments are erupting out of the blue constantly and the population has significantly increased. We are so overpopulated, it takes about twenty minutes to drive somewhere that used to take five-ten minutes.
Fredericksburg is quaint area located off of I95 right between the City of Richmond and Washington D.C. With that being said, it does make the perfect commuter city for those who work in Richmond or Washington D.C. Fredericksburg makes a good place to raise children, as it is away from the hustle and bustle of larger cities, yet there are activities for families to participate in. There are plenty of historic landmarks to see as well has a historic downtown area that has plenty to offer. There is not much for adult night life except maybe a few bars. Overall, Fredericksburg is a nice place to live!
