Franklin township is safe, friendly, and offers great access to downtown Indianapolis, Fountain Square, and Greenwood. With multiple points of highway access to several major highways, it is easy to get to anywhere in Indianapolis. The schools are consistently ranked at the top of rankings for Indianapolis and the surrounding areas, with high graduation rates and numerous extra-curricular options. As this is the last major area to be developed in the city, the area is growing fast with neighborhoods and businesses. While mostly residential, large convenient businesses are building new locations in the area. The homes are large and affordable, meeting a variety of budgets. With roundabouts being built in every major intersection, traffic is improving. Once the area is fully developed, I expect there to be improvements to add to the sense of community in the area. There are many parks, but not a real centralized area for gathering outside of the dated Wanamaker area. Overall great!
Franklin Township has a good school system and lots of opportunities to join youth sports programs and other activities, such as boy scouts and dance. In my opinion, these two things make it a good place to raise a child. In addition, I feel very safe in Franklin Township, which has extremely low crime rates. Also, Franklin Township is already diverse and is only getting more diverse with a recent influx of Chin immigrants.
Franklin Township is what I call home. A place where I got my kindergarten through senior education from. The public schools are superior with a very warm and welcoming environment full of diversity and promise for success. The teachers and staff provide the highest level of education possible and I feel exceptionally safe attending schools in this township. Commute time is less than two minutes for me and everything is within a close walking distance. Franklin Township is a family friendly place where everyone knows everyone and we all work as a small community to improve our schools and education, working environment, and our impact as a small community on the world and improve the way of life to raise a township of people willing to make a change for the better.
