Overall Franklin is a very safe and connected community. The school district is very good and there are a lot of opportunities in the community. Franklin is a pretty small community and there aren't as many business as neighboring cities, so you have to go to other cities like Oak Creek, Greendale, Greenfield, and New Berlin in order to shop at more businesses. Franklin still has grocery stores like Pic N Save and Target, so it is not completely all farmlands as it used to be.

I'd consider my experience to be average. It's a small town that is good for upper income families as taxes are very high. Additionally, Schools are decent in this area and the neighborhoods are very safe. Night life is not good in this community but downtown Milwaukee is only a 20 minute drive and always has concerts, art shows and new restaurants to try. Furthermore, real estate is pretty good in this area and there are a decent amount of job openings. Overall it's a nice suburb but it definately has it's pros and cons. My favorite part of Franklin is it's fourth of July fireworks and football games.
As a small suburb of Milwaukee, we have many opportunities and experiences that other cities don't experience. Drive 15 minutes north, your downtown, move 15 minutes east you're in the middle of nowhere. We are able to experience our Annual State Fair, Lake Michigan, Summerfest, Brewer games, and Buck games right in our backyard.
