For 21 years I have grown up and experienced all of Frankfort. I have absolutely enjoyed every minute of living there: through the local stores, boutiques, restaurants, parks, and even forest preserve trails, Frankfort has exceeded my expectations for a little town to raise a family in. I have never felt unsafe in Frankfort as I went to all of the schools and lived walking distant to the high school. As the years progress, Frankfort has grown tremendously in restaurants, local stores such as Meijer, Petsmart, Mariano's, and even new locations on chain places! They have also grown through different events that take place and bringing the community together, including some like The Farmer's Market, Bluegrass Festival, and Fall Fest. If I were to change anything about Frankfort, it would be the traffic. Like most places, as the town gets more and more filled (always a good thing!), there comes a time where traffic gets crowded and it seems impossible to move around.
I love the opportunities in Frankfort. I have grown up in Frankfort my whole life and truly feel as if it is a community. Whenever I am in my car, the neighbors always wave and people are always smiling. I run into people in the grocery store just because I have seen them around town all my life. You feel the sense of unity and belongingness in this community. The school is exceptional and the town is well kept.
Frankfort is inviting and gives home too many people. There are many delicious restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert. There are also many cute shops to go too in the beautiful downtown area. I live about 3 miles out of the downtown area, but I am able to use the well taken care of trails to get into the downtown area. Frankfort is very homie.
