Not Millennial friendly. Limited nightlife. Horrible traffic during season. Season lasts October- April. Restaurants are not ethnically diverse. Good beaches. Decent craft beer scene. Needs more companies to move to this area; most jobs are service or hospitality based with a literal handful of "big companies". Dating scene is atrocious: rednecks, really old people looking for "sugar dependencies", divorced people with baggage, immature college kids at FGCU, overall not a good place for young professionals 25-35. High cost of living will have you in an overpriced rental, communting from a crime heavy area like Lehigh, or dealing with an hour commute via 75. Old the rich, old and retired get by well here.

I have not always lived in Florida. We originally moved here from Dallas, Texas. Ever since we moved here, Fort Myers has been home! The river district is a great place for music, arts and history. There are plenty of community based activities that families can enjoy. The school system has been an overall wonderful experience. My favorite part about Fort Myers is the diversity that is all around. Majoring in music in Fort Myers has opened many doors for me and I have been able to meet so many wonderful people. I would recommend anyone to move to the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area any day of the week!
This city is growing rapidly! With Southwest Florida International Airport nearby, it is easy to travel to and from the area as well. There are plenty of beaches to visit, many restaurants, and businesses are booming!
