Fort Collins is an excellent town. Located just an hour north of Denver, it has a population of around 150,000. To the west lies Horsetooth Resevoir, a beautiful lake where people can swim, boat, hike, and more. It's a short drive up to the mountains, as well. Old Town Fort Collins has tons of great restaurants, and an excellent nightlife scene--there's something for everyone. Fort Collins also hosts some of the best breweries around: New Belgium Brewing Company, which is on its way to becoming a nationwide favorite, to name one. This city also has residents from all different backgrounds so no matter your age or the size of your family, Fort Collins is a great place to live. Colorado State University is also a great school with about 35,000 students, so there are plenty of opportunities for students and non-students to enjoy CSU events. Fort Collins is consistently ranked one of the best places to live in the U.S., and in my experience, this is definitely the case!
Review Fort Collins
My personal experience with Fort Collins has been positive. Having grown up in Georgia moving here was a big leap. But as I got situated I fell in love with the beautiful people, outdoors, and culture. Always ranking one of the top as the nation's health conscious cities. Plus with big name schools like CSU it provides a progressive feel to everything. Some of the best restaurants really cater to their student base. With the friends I have met here we are always able to go out on hikes! Another interesting fact is with the legalization of marijuana here. Students now have a legal, safer alternative to alcohol which is can be harmful.
Fort Collins has been an awesome town that has provided both a small town and city feel! I attended CSU and had an absolutely amazing experience that I stay after I graduated. Fort Collins has everything you need to lead a fulling life: trail, restaurants, attractions, schools, churches, shopping, and amazing people. Everything is super close; including horse tooth. Everything is just a walk, bike, or drive away. I hope to stay in Fort Collins during my Doctorate Program to have both my studies and hobbies.
