Forney, Texas is a growing town with most of the population in the middle-class. I've lived in Forney for around 3 years, and it is a calm town with little crime. Lately, it has even been expanding causing the grow of more schools and school districts. I have experienced both sides of the town as my family moved twice to different houses in Forney and both are friendly.
Past schools, much construction has been going on in the previously small town. The neighborhood I currently live in is still experiencing construction. However, I think it's because of the location of Forney. Although Forney is a small town, it is very close to the popular urban city, Dallas. The location is very preferred for anyone who likes the city but does not want to pay the expenses of living in the city.
Overall, Forney is an interesting and expanding suburban area. I suspect in the future the crime rates and population may increase however.

Forney is an average small suburb of Dallas. The traffic is horrible, and there isn't enough business and development occurring to balance the nonstop influx of people. However, the schools are above average and there are plenty of wonderful people and churches to be found inside of Forney. After all, it's my home!
There are many great things about Forney and its a great place to live if you have children. Forney has one of the fastest-growing school districts in Texas and there's a good reason. Forney pushes out great test scores. Forney also has many homes always being built so there is always placed to live on the market. There are not many high paying jobs here however, Forney is very close to big cities and two large highways pass straight through Forney and make commute out of the city painless. One downside is the lack of roads and there is a large amount of traffic near Highway 80 at certain times of the day.
