Fond du Lac has been rated as the most boring city in Wisconsin on many websites, but I disagree. Some things that make this city super interesting and fun are: lakeside park, walleye weekend, brewfest, the fair, and the farmers market! We also have great restaurants including family owned: Gilles Frozen Custard, Schreiners Restaurant, and Annie’s Fountain City Cafe. FDL is a great place because of all of these wonderful aspects. It is a safe city, the weather can be nice, and people are very friendly. If you’re looking for a town to settle in with your young family, Fondy is the right town for you!

Lakeside park is beautiful especially during winter when its frozen over. The city has everything except for diversity when it comes to food and shopping. Not a lot of good options when it comes to shopping. Groceries are actually more expensive than in california except for eggs they cost 88 cents per dozen. Youre surrounded by dairy farms outside of city limits yet milk is cheaper back in california which makes no sense to me. Meats are always expensive and chips are abour twice what you would pay back in california. Jobs are plenty if youre willing to work at factories. People are xenophobic and racist in general this is wisconsin the most segregated state in the united states. Your food options are americanized overpriced chinese food or burgers or maybe pizza or fried chicken or friday fish fry. Food is extremely boring out here. People are arrogant while living in a town like this with limited culture. Train blocks traffic for 15-20 minutes unless you take johnson st.
I currently live in Fond du Lac. I attend College here. We are lucky to have three colleges in our town. Two Universities and one Technical College. I feel for a town under 50,000 we are fortunate to have these three schools for higher education. Our town has some great eateries as well! Great family fun like the Children’s Museum and our local Library offers many great and free activities for our youth. Fond du Lac is a great town to live and raise your family. My children were and are very successful at what they do. I thank Fond du Lac for all the great schools and programs that were there for us.
