Flat Rock is a very small, but proud community. I grew up hearing, "Everybody knows everybody," and it's true, the closeness makes it easy to make lifelong, trustworthy friendships. I also love the history that I can access right around the corner. The high school, historic museum, community library, and police station are all within a one mile radius of each other. Most people may say this seems like it would be suffocating, but having grown up here, it has given me a sense of community that I believe I would get nowhere else.

Flat Rock is an average small town. A great city for small families and the elderly. However, for 16-25-year-olds, Flat rock can be incredibly dull which is why many young adults move out. Only to return since it is relatively cheap to live here compared to other cities in other states. One thing I do absolutely love about this town is the low crime rate! If I walk at night alone, I feel safe.
A great small town with wonderful people. There is a park right next to the water that is absolutely beautiful. There are also a lot of small businesses and restaurants that are great to visit. All in all Flat Rock is a wonderful place to visit and live.
