I think the town of Fitzwilliam is very nice and quiet. However, for kids ranging from elementary through high school, there's not a whole lot to do. Since Fitzwilliam is so close to Keene and Peterborough, as well as Massachusetts, that provides some more opportunities. Although quiet, Fitzwilliam is a great town to live in.
Summers are nice, usually around 70-80's with some 90 degree days. Sometimes humidity but not awful. Spring is nice as well, usually in the 50's but doesn't last long between winter and summer. Fall is awesome, pleasant and cool. Winters can be brutal with the amount of snow we get each year and can get very cold. Personally, a winter coat is the most essential item. Jeans and leggings as well as shoes sustainable for snow.
This cute small town has everything a child needs to grow and thrive. It has been an amazing place to grow up, and I could not have asked for more from my hometown.
