Moved here about a month ago and couldn't be happier. The city was clean and orderly, the communities were excellent, and it's right in the middle of anywhere you'd want to go (downtown, proctor district, Ruston, UP, Steilacoom, etc.). Great shops along Bridgeport and tons of parks with breathtaking views of the Sound and Mt. Rainier. Everyone is super friendly at local coffee shops and our neighbor even got us a welcome gift. What a great city to live in!
I like the safeness of Fircrest and would change nothing. Fircrest has a lot of fun activities surrounding it, especially in the summer. Fircrest fun days are something to look forward to every year. Fircrest also has a lot of playgrounds which makes it family friendly. Along with many sport opportunities to register your kid for. Ranging from tennis to soccer to basketball.
It is a quiet and friendly community. We all stay connected through numerous pages on social media, and have found that we all look out for one another. Despite being a suburb of a significant city, it is home to humanitarian-type individuals, peacefulness, and beautiful flowers.
