Findlay is growing pretty big with the expansion of Marathon Petroleum Corporation, so there are more and more food services and jobs available around town. I have never felt unsafe while walking through town during the day, although night can be a little more unsettling. Findlay High School is a pretty good school for sports and especially music/bands. Findlay is a good town for new parents and newly married couples because there are many schools to go to and neighborhoods everywhere. Overall Findlay is a good place to live and I'm glad to say I grew up there.

Findlay is an wonderful place to hang out!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the Marathon Center for Performing Arts. I spent several hours walking the sidewalks of this small town. I finished the day by speaking to a volunteer from the Center.

She was very helpful, and she enthusiastically provided me a history of the town. She explained the programs offered to the public, and discussed how the center is supported, and then she walked with me through the halls and back to the Donnell Theater.

Along the way to the volunteer guide, pointed out various programs the Center will be hosting. I had read about these events earlier and not really interested in attending them. But this enthusiastic guide turned on my interest, so I plan to attend several of the events this month.

There are other attractions in Findlay, Ohio worth mentioning like the local favorite Wilson's hamburger restaurant and Dietz's Ice Cream Shop and a great place to shop at is Trends on Main.
Findlay is a successful town due to them being home of the Marathon corporation. The company's financial support to the town as well as running factories, continue to renovate the infrastructure. However, with the town's conservatism and close-mindedness to people of color, it is not necessarily a place just any family would feel comfortable to settling down in. Especially if they are an interracial or homosexual couple.
