Top Public Schools Serving Filer
A pretty small, quiet town with a really closely knit community. There isn't a lot going on when you first look at it (except for when the fair comes along every year), but it's honestly been a really enjoyable experience!
I lived in filer for a while before moving to Boise. I appreciated the quietness of the town. There isn't much to do in filer if you aren't involved in Horses, or farming of some sort. The Schools are nice and within a close range of each other,so walking from school to school isn't a struggle; although the high School is farther from the other schools and on a highway. The school pride is a very big thing. The football games and basketball games are a good way to spend your time if you have nothing else to do, or you aren't interested in horses or farming. The high school every year contributes a huge part of the only parade that happens every year. The town is cute. The grocery store was recently remodeled and is now more presentable. There is a subway and a family dollar: like most small towns. The police station is in the heart of the town and the cops are for the most part friendly. Its a retirement/settle down and have a family kind of town.
I think Filer is a great place to live. The people here are friendly, the schools are great and there is a neighborhood club that keeps the town clean. The club cleans local parks and helps when needed. The crime rate is low in this town and overall its just peaceful. I live in a newer subdivision and the traffic is light. Its definitely a plus with a little one! :)
