As a recent transplant from out of state, I was amazed by the very slow pace of Federalsburg and ultra-conservative feel . The town is reminiscent of a long, by-gone era. Of course, that slower pace does add charm to Federalsburg. As for the residents I've met, its a mixed bag. Some are extremely friendly, while there's an equal amount who appear to be rather uptight and socially inept. Regardless, Federalsburg well represents rural small town Americana.
Federalsburg is really a good town. every kind of facility is available here. There are two public parks in Federalsburg. People, who are visiting there enjoy fishing and nature. Federalsburg is a nice little town here in the state of Maryland. From what I have seen people are friendly and respectful. You need a helping hand somebody close by is willing to help out. It reminds me a lot of my little home town in Delaware. Home, sweet home. One thing i truly would love to see change though is store hours, or restaurant hours. Everything around here closes so early, leaving me with the late night munchies. They honestly need a 24 hr mc d's. Shoot it may even be nice to have a little motel or hotel on the block to bring in the tourist. Its dry out here. They really need something to liven it up.
