Beautiful suburb of Knoxville with an excellent cost of living. Great for outdoors people with many nearby state parks and the Great Smoky Mountains. Mild climate with all four seasons.
The trade-off is that it is a highly conservative and evangelical/southern baptist community. Intolerant to diversity (which is low to begin with) and with a public school system that has no problem incorporating religion into their curriculum and services, but only southern baptist christian beliefs. Public schools teach abstinence only "sex education." I would not recommend this area to any liberal leaning individuals and families, especially to peoples of color or LGBTQ.

Farragut is extremely boring, and has ZERO CULTURE. Being used to family owned restaurants and businesses, I was shocked that this area offers so little of both. They're mostly chains (Good luck finding a great, generational Italian restaurant, etc.). Public services are par, and the area is safe. If you want your children to be exposed to history, culture, and a broader mentality, you may want to look elsewhere. Every day is like Groundhog Day. Nothing changes, and folks here are too judgmental, just ask anyone who has transplanted here. Friendships are skin deep unless your great grandfather was born here. Nice area, but way too many better options.
Farragut is a great town for families! It is very Christian and conservative, so if these aren't your values, you may have a bit of a culture shock. It is a beautiful, quiet small town with so much potential. Great place to live!
