We love our little “best” small town in NJ. Amazing Neigbor’s, friendly town feel. Excellent place to raise kids and raise your family. Safe, quant, refreshing suburb indeed. You’ll feel right at home.

I love Fanwood!! I moved to Fanwood with my family when I was about to start Kindergarten, and have made my way through the public school system before applying and being accepted to amazing universities across the country.

From the moment we moved in, we have had an amazing relationship with our neighbors and the other people living around us. I grew up rollerblading, biking and scootering around on my street, which though off a main road, is quiet enough for young kids to play on.

There are also great local parks, YMCA's, and pools (shout out Willow Grove Swim Club) and the train station is right in down town.
Fanwood is a small, close knit town with a strong public school system and neighborhoods with block parties, holiday light contests, and other classic suburban characteristics. The downtown is cute with a (very) local pub, a few restaurants, and a charming old fashioned vibe. Not many boutiques or shopping destinations, but a pharmacy, a card store, an ice cream parlor, and a few pizza places add to its desirability. The schools are absolutely top-notch and are shared (along with many other services) with Scotch Plains.
