Fallon, NV reflects a small slice of rural American life. I like Fallon and the opportunities available to those who live here. Everybody knows each other, and with that comes a variety of occupational and recreational opportunities. Networking is very easy here, and friendly faces are always around the corner. Although, Fallon isn't for everybody. If you are used to bustling urban living, that isn't something that can be found in Fallon. Fallon's life is slow, but I honestly feel that is something that can be appreciated. On the other hand, there is a severe lack of variety in food and shopping. The most popular and common restaurants are Mexican and sandwich shops. There is also a lack of shopping centers and malls, making online shopping essential. Beyond the lack of diverse eating and shopping, there isn't much to complain about. Fallon is very safe, comfortable, and easy to live in.
I have lived in Fallon, NV for 2 years now. The community is very tight knit. It does have a small town feel. I have loved being able to attend several of their annual festivals. Overall, it has been a wonderful place to live while serving my time here in the Navy. I do wish it was closer to Reno, but that is not the town's fault!
Fallon is a beautiful little community that is pretty close-knit. There is loyalty at every corner and when someone is faced with a terrible or tragic event the support is overwhelming. i do wish there were more night time activities for single adults. this community however is very family friendly and I think that helps with the naval training base that bring in a lot of families who are stationed here for a time. Fallon has a very rich history and my family roots are a part of it. i love living somewhere that is small and safe yet just a short drive to one of the biggest little cities Reno and our state capital Carson City. Fallon is the city I was raised in and it was a great place to go grow up in. there is a lot of love and support in this community and all people have to do is look and they will see the beauty within. Yes Fallon has some tattered edges but I feel it gives this great little town the character that brings so many here. Fallon is a community of Family.
