Excellent small town, great to grow a family in. Has a strong community feeling with a good school district and a safe environment.
In the summer it is beautiful! Especially on the lakes. It does get a little humid sometimes, but it is not a dry heat like in other states. It is very enjoyable. Fall is gorgeous with all the leaves and the temperature is perfect still for outdoor activities such as football games and bonfires. The winter is really cold and has been below zero for a period of time for the past couple years consistently. The spring is always wet and could cause some flooding for those who are by the creek and dam.
In just the town of Fall River there are technically three bars, two restaurants (two of the bars and restaurants are combined bar and grills), two banks, a tanning salon, a hair salon, a nail salon, a chiropractic, gas station, Schumann Printers, the Foundry, Badger Pallet, and E.K. Machinery. Although this is a lot for a small town of 1700 people, the wage is not the best, but it is livable. There are a lot of minority working most of these jobs getting paid very little. There is also not much advancement available in the area either. There are not chain stores where people could move into new areas and continue your career.
