Fairwood is a nice community and really safe as well. I have stayed over there for over four years. I love the neighborhood and all the neighbors are really nice. You feel as if you're at home and never want to leave. The schools are amazing, I always walk my siblings down the street from their school because it's just that safe.

There are many fast-food restaurants for those on the go. There are sit-down, smaller restaurants that vary in what cuisine they serve. There is Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, soul food, and American. Drink wise, the most popular one would definitely Starbucks. There are also desire places, frozen yogurt and ice cream. My favorite would be the Japanese food, chicken katsu!
I have lived in the Fairwood area for over 14 years, and am part of the school systems in the area. It is a very nice neighborhood, very green, and has friendly neighbors. It would be nice if there were more public transportation options.
