Fairmount Township Reviews
In the Bonner Springs/ Basehor area there isn't a great variety of food. Most are biker bars or chain restaurants like DQ, McDonalds, and Taco Johns. If you want to eat a little healthier our option is Papa Murphy's or Subway. We have a mom and pop Chinese restaurant but since cousins of the original owners took over the food does not taste the same. We are lucky in the sense that if we want something a bit nicer to eat we are within a reasonable driving distance from some of the nicer restaurants.
There are many job opportunities for those who don't have much job experience but competition is high since there are two high schools within 10 miles of each other. Unfortunately there are few jobs available for those who have a bit more job experience and have a certification of some sort like pharmacy technician, residential care specialist or even some jobs that require a CNA.
I feel relatively safe in my area. I live outside of town so we don't have to worry about a lot of criminal activity. In the Basehor area I would say it is a large majority of high school students who are committing crime whether it be speeding or otherwise. In the Bonner Springs area I would not necessarily feel as safe if I were to have to walk around at night, drugs are fairly prevalent in both areas.
