- Town in Illinois

It's a nice small town, but its largest attraction is a Walmart. The town doesn't have much going on for it and sadly it is a town that doesn't consider COVID-19 an actual threat. The food choices are fairly limited but there are around 30 churches or so if that suits your fancy.
Fairfield, IL Small town needs more businesses of any kind. I prefer restaurants. Really need a lumber company.
Fairfield is a very family-friendly town to live in. Fairfield is a small and quiet town. It is a very safe place to live. Most everyone who lives in Fairfield is friendly.
Fairfield is a small town in southeastern Illinois, with about 5,200 people currently living in it. I have lived in Fairfield my entire life, and while it is easy to get down on small towns for there being nothing to do or nowhere to have fun, I often see people take our sense of community and family for granted. Here, everybody knows everybody, and while that can be irritating sometimes, I would not trade it for the world because of that sense of community and family I have been shaped into the person I am today. That is why wherever I go and whatever I do with my life I will always be home in Fairfield.
I love living in Fairfield. Small hometown vibes all the way. The schools are great. The only downfall is job opportunities considering our major employing company just moved out of country.
I have lived in this area all my life and have gone to two different elementary schools. The first one was Merriam Grade School, until it shut down due to low number of students. Then I went to New Hope Grade School for my eight grade year. Both help prepare me for Fairfield Community High School, even though they were both outlining schools. This town is small and quite, but does have a loving atmosphere.
Cheap to live if you have a good job. Nothing for kids to do. They get into a lot of trouble. People are not very friendly and very concerned about your business.
Fairfield is an okay place to live. The town has a Walmart to buy all of your needs, and several restaurants to choose from. Unfortunately, there aren't many things for teens to do.
Our Fire and Police response in this area if awesome!
We have possibilities of tornadoes during season. The winters are awful.
The housing in our area is mediocre. Some houses are grand, some are very poor.
There are very very few job opportunities in our town.
Most of our town's food options are fast food. We have limited choices.
There have been little or no reports of crime or safety issues until just recently.
Most people in town work oil rigs or work out of town. Most high school and college students work at gas stations and fast food places. I haven't noticed any jobs in town that would pay really well except for doctors at the hospital or nurses at the assisted living center.
