Fairfield is a small town in southeastern Illinois, with about 5,200 people currently living in it. I have lived in Fairfield my entire life, and while it is easy to get down on small towns for there being nothing to do or nowhere to have fun, I often see people take our sense of community and family for granted. Here, everybody knows everybody, and while that can be irritating sometimes, I would not trade it for the world because of that sense of community and family I have been shaped into the person I am today. That is why wherever I go and whatever I do with my life I will always be home in Fairfield.

Fairfield, IL Small town needs more businesses of any kind. I prefer restaurants. Really need a lumber company.
I have lived in this area all my life and have gone to two different elementary schools. The first one was Merriam Grade School, until it shut down due to low number of students. Then I went to New Hope Grade School for my eight grade year. Both help prepare me for Fairfield Community High School, even though they were both outlining schools. This town is small and quite, but does have a loving atmosphere.
