Fairbury is a great small town. Everyone knows each other and it really gives you a "pleasantville" feeling when you come here. People are friendly and willing to help each other out. There is a strong sense of community and many small businesses. There are restaurants that offer locally produced produce and meat, clothing stores, furniture, and much more. There are a couple parks that are great for taking kids to or just walking and getting some exercise.

Fairbury is a fantastic place to spend time in. Even though the activities that are available are few in terms of restaurants, Fairbury has a hometown feel. The residents here support their local towns and provide for safe neighborhoods. It's very easy to find yourself in conversation with friendly strangers, everyone in Fairbury is quick to make you feel welcome. The school systems are all close by which is hard to find in big cities. The town also has a fair in the summer which brings tourists from all around. Local shops are also a cause for tourism. Another unique quality of Fairbury is that it has its own supermarket called Dave's. This allows for residents to not feel like they have to go far away to get their groceries, instead they can go a short distance and buy locally produced food.
This area is very friendly and there are things to do. However, sometimes it does get a little boring. Over all, I feel safe and at home!
