I've been in Fairborn for 6 months now and the experience has been quite fair. It's not a big city but it does has malls and is in the middle from most cities around here like Dayton, Huber Heights,Kettering, and etc. It's a quite city and Wright State University is down the street from my house but their are a lot of noisy college students near by. However the cost of living is affordable and I love it! I would like to see a change in the housing and buildings around this place as potential but it could look so much better than it appears.

My experience in Fairborn Ohio so far is very uneventful. As an individual who was born/raised in Chicago Illinois, attended college in Miami Florida, and lived in a few different zip codes to include one in Gainesville Florida; I would say that Fairborn Ohio is a bit slower of a pace then I'm accustomed to. Seems like an older town with a lot of military affiliated families. It would be a more bearable town if there were more events such as fairs, circus, car shows, festivals, etc. Seems like a great place to retire with the exception of the cold winters.
Fairborn is a fairly quiet suburb of Dayton that boasts many restaurants and shops. Besides stores, Fairborn also has the honor of including the Wright Patterson Airforce Museum, a sprawling complex dedicated to the preservation of our aviation heritage. In addition to numerous attractions, Fairborn also houses Wright State University. In a ten minute drive, one can be at the heart of Dayton and its industry.
