I am go glad that I grew up in this small suburb and am proud to call it my home. My parents originally moved to Fair Lawn to start a family because the education system here is award winning, and I can safely say that it lives up to its standards. Another thing I love about my town is how perfectly placed it is; I'm minutes away from multiple malls, parks, and much more. Although the education and environment are beyond wonderful, the number one aspect that I love about my town is the people. I currently do not go to Fair Lawn High School, but all of the friendships and relationships that I have made are long lasting ones. As much as I truly love Fair Lawn, I do wish that some of the traffic laws in town were easier. For example, in order to park your car in the road over night, you must call the town, give them the license plate, the address, etc., which is such an inconvenience sometimes. In saying all of that, I genuinely love this town, weird road rules and all!
A diverse, well organized and welcoming community overall. In the heart of New Jersey, it's full of various cultures and cuisines to be explored! The crime rate is low, and the community is tended to well, creating a beautiful environment to take a walk around in. Everywhere you go, there's bound to be a place for dining, whatever you're craving! The downtown area is gorgeous and lively, day and night, and the town is very convenient to other resources such as Route 208 and a short drive away from the Garden State Plaza. The people are loving, the workers are commendable, and there's everything to love and look forward to about Fair Lawn.
I have lived in Fair Lawn the majority of my life and have many fond memories growing up as a child here. As a more recent graduate of Fair Lawn High, I would definitely say compared to other school systems in the state I've experienced, their education system greatly excelled. I love what a quiet, quaint, family-friendly community this town is and when I go back to visit, it just feels like home. While Fair Lawn itself may be lacking in fun things to do, the surrounding neighborhoods help to make it a desirable location. Don't get me wrong though! Places like River Road Hot Bagels and Giovanni's Deli are to die for! Although I won't be returning to this neighborhood in the years to come, I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and friendly environment to raise their family in.
