Exton is a great place to live and work! It is just far enough from the main line that the houses are affordable and you get alot for your money. It is close to the Exton mall and a wide variety of store and restaurants. Mix of modern and historical architecture. The Chester Valley trail is right near by and enjoyable for hiking and walking. Quiet and friendly area with regular sightings of wildlife (foxes, deer, ground hogs and birds). Highly recommend.
The roads are being worked on as I type this! This is a fantastic thing because the pot holes are so, so terrible. I drive on 100 to work and that is the worst road I've ever driven and this is the one they are repaving so driving is so smooth now.
I've seen someone say it's safe to walk and I disagree. My experiences with it is that I need to drive everywhere, even a 5 minute driving distance. This is because the roads don't really support walkers unless you are in the main shopping areas.
The shopping is quite good though and there are lots of different shops and restaurants. They are primarily large chains, I think, but this means that you don't run out of places to go to or have a delivery from. I've also never had an issue finding an Uber when I needed one.
Finally, it isn't great to look at. The main shopping area is cute, but other than that the area is pretty ugly.

Great place to live. Homes are expensive but still cheaper than areas like Malvern, Paoli, Devon. Taxes are cheap!! And you get a lot for your money. Terrific schools, neighborhoods with land, and the convenience of every store imaginable closeby. Moved here from Delaware county and I’m paying the same taxes here than I did on a house that had 1/10th of the land, worse schools, and was worth 1/2 of what my house is now.
