Excelsior is an amazing city filled with a charming downtown area right next to Lake Minnetonka. It's just 20 minutes from Minneapolis.
Thriving safe community with great walkability alongside a beautiful lake! A nice assortment of local restuarants and unique shops to visit all within a few blocks.
Excelsior is a growing city that reminds me of a cute town that would be featured in a hallmark movie. It is by Lake Minnetonka so there are great restaurants on the lake. There is a great variety of things to do in Excelsior. For the kids, there is a local park with a beach and a huge open area for kids to run around in right by the lake. In the town, there is a trolley ride that has themes for different holidays. There are three amazing local ice cream shops and a great local brewery for adults called Excelsior Brewery. At the brewery, there is live music that allows adults to let loose. There is also a boat called the Minnehaha that is one of the biggest attractions. The boat goes on a tour all around the lake and ends in our neighboring city, Wayzata. The workers on the boat are all volunteers, including my grandpa. I get to hear stories about the variety of people that come to Excelsior to for the Minnehaha. To conclude, the small town of Excelsior is a great city to grow up in.
I think Excelsior is a vibrant city that offers wonderful experiences for individuals of all ages. Whether it be gathering in downtown Excelsior in the Commons for a concert or eating at Maynard, the city of Excelsior is a wonderful place to grow up. Not only is the social scene exceptional, the school district of Minnetonka schools is absolutely exceptional. The education is second to none. The nightlife is also great, with restaurants such as Lago Tacos and Maynards staying open for extended periods of time and offering tasty food!
Excelsior is an amazing town with a lot of great opportunities. It is an amazing place to raise children and is only getting better!
Excelsior is a great small suburb of Minnesota. The schools are amazing, and there is so much to do. The community is very welcoming and safe. I have always had a positive experience with this community.
Great schools and many lakes nearby, also the town of Excelsior has many cute shops and restaurants.
Excelsior is my favorite place that I have ever lived. It is right on lake minnetonka and filled with fun and friendly people. There are a lot of good restaurants and things to do, but it is a pretty expensive area. Overall, I love excelsior.
Living in Excelsior near Lake Minnetonka is peaceful yet very vibrant. Daytime near the lake, winter or summer, is beautiful. Excelsior still offers night life with great places to eat and gather.
I have grown up here and it becomes more and more expensive each year. Rent is unaffordable and the business turnover rate is high. When I was a kid it was a wonderful small town but not so much anywhere. There is no racial or financial diversity in this town, so when there is that person or family sticks out like a sore thumb.
Great places to eat, right on the lake and you're able to walk around it and eat ice cream. it also has a great barber shop
This is a nice small town, cute little shops and good places to eat. This is a good place to live, and it's included in the Minnetonka Schools district.
Quaint town on the shores of beautiful Lake Minnetonka 20 miles west of Minneapolis. The town is the quintessential midwestern town with unique shops and restaurants that you will not find anywhere else. Lots of activities all year round, warm and cold alike near the crystal clear blue waters of the lake.
This is a great place to grow up. Small but close enough to big city (Minneapolis). Safe. Great schools.
