I've lived in Evergreen Park for the last 10 years and feel lucky to live here. The Village just keeps improving and improving. Affordable homes with lots character in mature neighborhoods. Safe tree lined streets and excellent schools. No potholes here. Streets and parks are meticulously cared for. Couldn't ask for quicker snow removal and care of public spaces. Yuckich field and 50 Acre Park/Urban Farm are truly gems. Library is small but exceptional with wonderful programs for children and adults alike. Great restaurants -old standards like Roseangelas and Pappy's as well as newer upscale Thiti's & Unidad. Newer Whole Foods & Starbucks have been great. additions. I would like to see the park district programs modernize a bit and more public art.

Evergreen Park is a very quiet and safe neighborhood located 20 minutes Southwest of the Chicago Loop. It has great parks, amazing places to shop, and great restaurants. There are plenty of Metra stations nearby and you are about four miles from the CTA Red Line on 95th street. Evergreen Park is perfect for married couples over age 35 and is a great place to raise a family but it is not known for a robust nightlife scene.
I grew up in Evergreen Park. It had everything a kid needed to have fun and be safe. From baseball fields to playgrounds to the local pool and sledding on the golf course hills! As I got older I watched it grow. New stores, new attractions more reasons to stick around. I also ended up working at the hospital/ It's quiet but at the same time there's always something to do!
