Working in Evergreen
Evergreen is a beautiful town and provides a lot of outdoor activities. There are recreation centers that provide swimming, basketball, gymnastics, racquet ball, and a climbing wall. Great place to raise a family!
My experience in Evergreen has been an overall good experience, despite the issue of being in a bubble. The location of my town is perfect. Not only is Evergreen in the beautiful, peaceful Rocky Mountains, rather than in the middle of a busy city, but it isn't so far out that you feel disconnected and isolated. The sense of community in Evergreen is a great factor as well. The biggest issue is that being in an overall wealthy town, there isn't much economic diversity, or many non-whites. But being close to Denver, which is more diverse, is something that somewhat makes up for this lack of diversity.
Evergreen is a small town on the way up to the mountains. It is a quaint and quiet town where nothing too exciting happens. It is lovingly referred to as the “snow globe” because everything is seemingly perfect and it is such a safe environment. If I were to shake the snow globe up, per say, I would do so by adding more things for teenagers to do. We do not have any shopping, movie theaters, or hang out spots for socializing.
