Everett, Massachusetts is a busy city with very quiet neighborhoods. Although seven buses serve the city, some neighborhoods are still quite far from the bus stops. Revere Beach Parkway is a parkway originating in Medford, MA, connecting Everett, Chelsea, and Revere. This results in heavy traffic during peak hours. There is much diversity in nationalities and restaurants. Everett is also known for its great school system, Richie's slush, and the newly built Encore casino, resulting in heavy traffic Friday and Saturday nights. Gateway Center is the main shopping and food center, and Sky Zone the trampoline park are also very popular in Everett. It is a very lively city, quiet and convenient, but the traffic makes the city highly difficult to commute around.
I have lived in Everett my whole life and have no complaints. It is right near Boston so you can catch any sporting event with ease. The sporting community in Everett is also great. I grew up playing baseball, football, hockey, and soccer and everyone was always so welcoming. The Everett high school football team is always one of the best in Massachusetts so I take pride in that. Everett has a lot of places to check out and enjoy. They now added the casino in Everett which is also fun because there are not many casinos in Massachusetts so having one of the few is exciting.
What I like about Everett would have to be that everything is close to everything else. There's hair salons, markets, restaurants, and transportation just about everywhere which makes it super convenient and you won't need a car to move from place to place. Their public schools are great here, there's lots of diversity and lots of people as well. It's very comforting and homey I've realized when I'm not home from college. A place where you make long lasting friends, neighbors, and memories!
