Great Place to live, a very accepting and helpful community. They have a very involved and friendly public service system. Their Police Officers and Fire Fighters are very nice and caring and always involved in the community. They have a lot of community events, including barbecuing competitions, a labor day fair, parades through town on easter, memorial day, and labor day. They have a Christmas tree lighting on the main street, and throughout the summer they have community events where they shut down the main street and set up a performer, from bands to comedians, to entertain the citizens that show up. Easily the most family friendly place I have ever been, and I feel so lucky to live here.

I recently moved here just in January (its been about six months now) from St Louis city and I have to admit at first, I was worried about whether or not I would feel at home here. All my life I've lived in the city, so it was something different but I have so far ended up really liking living out here in Eureka. The space is a lot more open and I never knew how refreshing it would be to get away from the city. The people are very friendly and helpful too. The only concern of mine has to do with distance and convenience. In the city, everything is very close by (basically within walking distance), so for a lot of things to be at least 10 min away by car has been different however, I noticed a lot of new housing developments going on, so I'm excited to see how that translates into attracting more businesses and making things more convenient again.
I have grown up in Eureka my entire life and have nothing but incredible things to say. It was ranked the #1 town in America to raise a family by USA Today, we have one of the top school districts in the state (Rockwood), and for when you get bored we have endless sports fields and a Six Flags within the town. There are many, many restaurants downtown that are family owned and delicious! We are located off of Interstate 44 and along Highway 109, making transportation extremely easy, no matter where you are traveling. We have a Walmart superstore and a Schnucks to make getting anything on your grocery list extremely easy. The housing is incredibly affordable, having 2 story houses in nice neighborhoods sell between $200,000 and $300,000. The atmosphere of the city is incomparable, everyone knows each other, with a smaller population of only 10,000. If you are looking for the perfect town to raise a family or settle down, then Eureka, Missouri is the best choice for you!
