I could not image growing up anywhere else! Eureka's Old Town area has restaurant's and shopping. And in the summer time they close down Central one Friday a month and host Part's on Central. There is live music and activities for kids. Christmas time there is a Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa comes. The fire department also drives Santa around to the neighboring subdivisions. I always look forward to Eureka Days. There are carnival rides all weekend and a parade.
They are also known for their biking/hiking trails. Which I frequent often because I am a mountain biker.

A great small town! Everyone knows everyone and most people are always willing to lend a helping hand if you need it. The best example is when it flooded really bad here a lot of people went and helped out wherever they could, laying sandbags or helping pump water out of basements. It's a great community with wonderful people.
As a soon to be high school graduate Eureka is all about community. The school spirit is like no other. Football stands constantly full on Friday nights, knowing people just walking down old town Eureka. There are plenty of small businesses and local restaurants to visit. Overall, Eureka is very supportive and united.
