Estero is right in between two very prevalent cities in SWFL, Naples and Fort Myers. It's not as touristy and busy like these two other cities, but it is definitely much more quiet and easy to live in. There are several malls close by that can make shopping easy, examples include Coconut Point Mall, Gulf Coast Town Center, and Miromar Outlets. Florida Gulf Coast University is very close by and growing, which has been benefiting this town. Overall a good place to live.

My experience in this town has been okay. There isn't anything special about this town. It is pretty small but there are quite a few communities. Although there are not that many events, if that's what you're looking for I would recommend the North Fort Myers area or Bonita Springs. The schools nearby aren't that great either. If you have small children do not enroll them in San Carlos Park Elementry; its an awful school with a very low budget and horrible staff.
The Village of Estero is a great place because everything is so close and convenient. Estero is always kept very clean and well put together. Estero also is very close to various beaches in the area. It's also family friendly with lots of activities to do such as, parks, pools, and shopping. Some improvements I would like to see in the future would to help the traffic flow throughout the area and to bring in more healthcare facilities because of the growing population in Estero.
