I've enjoyed growing up here! Small, but not too small; We have lots of small town traditions, but we have some of the benefits of a larger town (technically we are the 5th biggest city in VT I think!). Lots of good programs for kids and families.
Essex is a very nice, friendly town. It has many local stores and things to do. Essex high school has a very strong system and everyone loves it. You never find yourself with nothing to do because there are so many things like fishing, swimming, hiking, running, there are many places to eat and shop.
Being a member of the Essex community, a small community located in Vermont, has taught me all about the true meaning of looking out for one another. Through our ups and down, the community has always given back to those in need, a valuable trait that I intend to uphold throughout my life.
