Escondido is a great city! This is the place I have lived for several years now and the city I studied in. I am also working in Escondido. Most streets are clean and very nice to walk during the afternoon. Weather in Escondido may hit the higher ones during summer but it pays off when we can visit bars and restaurants in the area, specially those in OId Escondido and Grand Ave. There is a diversity of people in Escondido that you are able to enjoy and learn from them if you give yourself the opportunity to meet them.

Escondido is a gem hidden in the northern part of San Diego! It is home to a diverse number of families and boasts cheaper housing than in other parts of the county. Local things that you won't want to miss include The Safari Park, Stone Brewing, and Peterson's Donuts.
It's very small area, populated by Mexicans mostly. It has lots if stores. Friday nights they have cruising grand which is a bunch of old cars in the street. They have awesome coffee shops and poetry and spoken word nights pretty cool!
