Small town with big pride! Erath schools are ranked #1 in Vermilion parish. All 3 schools are ranked a the top within the entire state of LA. The high school not only excels academically, the sports program also thrives.
Erath is a very quaint little town. In times of need our community stands together and lends a hand to whoever needs. We don’t have much of a nightlife in Erath but I truly believe that is what makes this town so unique. Other than an occasional thief, violence is unheard of in our town. Fantastic schools, teachers and support staff are awesome. Once a year we celebrate the Fourth of July with week long fair and a parade and awesome fireworks display on the night of the fourth. Families greatly support anything our kids are involved in. I would not live in any other town. I love my little town.
Erath is a small town just south of Lafayette. Albeit having a population of 2,000, the people in this town have the heart of any large city. With parent sponsored events to raise money for every senior, the PTA in our town is enormous. After graduation, depending on how many events were worked, every student was awarded, at minimum, a $250 gift card and some form of prize. This did not stop here, however. An event was held, known as project graduation, where students could have safe, monitored fun instead of partying dangerously after graduation. The town has helped their students in so many ways, its hard to leave, but I know, that even though I may go to Mississippi for school, I will always be a bobcat.
