It's a nice small town. It does need another grocery store and more things to do. The people are friendly
I have lived here since 2004, it used to be a small town chaos (teen pregnancy per cap of the US and drug use!) The town has fluctuated from small town to trying to be Boise to small town to us trying to get our lives together. However DRUGS and the county judicial system are a HUGE issue to this day! I LOVE this town but it needs a drastic change! We need more people willing to speak the truth not sweep it under a rug!
If you’re looking for rampant racism, QAnon believers, anti-science mindsets, incredibly poor education, dangerous anti-LGBTQ+ atmosphere, thoughtless nationalism, and Ted Bundy worship this is the place for you. Anyone other than white, cis, straight, Christian nationalists will have a hard time here, even facing violence.
Those who say Emmett is a great place to raise a family obviously are not from a minority community where it would be incredibly detrimental and unsafe to raise kids here. Friends of mine who are Black, indigenous, Asian, and Pacific Islander have all expressed how unsafe Emmett is and relayed many racist experiences and quite a few dangerous ones. This is the heart of MAGA country, where “make America great again” definitely includes going back to the time of Jim Crow laws and absolute intolerance for any beliefs outside of white Christian nationalism.

I was born and raised in Idaho, I’ve lived in many small Idaho towns. Emmett by far has been my favorite small town to live and raise my children in. The people are great, there’s a lot of outdoor activities to do in the summer, great extra curricular activities for children year round. The only downfall is the middle and high school, very out dated and it’s hard to pass school bonds ect with having an older community and farmers that don’t want to pay higher taxes, so unfortunately the children suffer for that.
I’ve lived in Emmett most of my life. The community feel is unmatched. I love the small town life.
I would change the fact that education doesn’t seem valued by the majority. A school bond rarely passes, and our children hurt for it. Our middle and high schools are outdated and we could do better.

I have lived in Emmett for over a year, it has been a wonderful town and the people that live here seem very done to earth. I have found that Emmett is a great place to be with friends for the evening. It has all the essential needs of living.
People in Emmett are very friendly and it is a supportive community. It is a nice, comfortable, town with a very small-town feel but is not far from bigger cities, shopping, entertainment, etc., as well as outdoor recreation opportunities such as hiking, camping, and fishing. The climate is very sunny much of the year. It snows a little but is not extremely cold in winter. It does get very hot in the summer. As with many small towns, the local businesses sometimes struggle. There is not a lot of dining and shopping options, not to mention employment, right in town, but it is a thirty to forty-five minute commute to Boise and other areas.
It's got absolutely nothing for activities. There is no kid summer groups. Very little stores and its gossipy
I think its nice for the older generation

Love this town and the schools, they have one private school thought which is crowded and there needs to be add-ons or at least a new area for the school to flourish. There is a taco bell / gas station that I go to almost every day, but the sad thing is that they have a vape section in the gas station and i see teens buy some.
Its a small small with little crime. it better then most places ive lived but most of the kids are bullys or staright crazy. other than the crazy people emmett is a cool place
I have lived in emmett for a while now and at my school there is an drug and alcohol problem and gang activities, also pedophillia in my old neirbor hood
Emett may be a nice place to retire but what about the youth? The youth have no place to go to hang out. The only entertainment is the bowling alley. we need many more people to industrialize, but the city won't allow it because they don't like change. other than that, there is very little crime. very little noise and no interesting features. the cost of everything is very high.
Emmett is a great place to grow up! Crime has been going down and the overall unity of the town is incredible. Although people moving into the area have been starting to increase crime, it is overall one of the BEST towns in Idaho.
Emmett has been my hometown for 5 years now. I think that Emmett is the #1 place to grow up. My dad lived here. I live here. There are so many good people.
I have lived in Emmett for ten years now, and it is a cute, adorable town. Everyone knows everyone and they are all very nice. In the summertime, people go out floating the Payette River. In the winter, you can sled on the foothills.
It is a nice small town, really like the people here safe environment. No crime rate here you get to know everyone really well.
Emmett is a small community and everyone knows each other, which is a great thing. If any kind of problem happens, we all help each other out. However, as
in any small town, there are not so many things to do. Some teenagers get bored and start doing drugs or alcohol.
