There are some original restaurants around town and there are also chain restaurants. There is a McDonald's, Arby's, and Culver's, and several Subways.

Most of the houses, besides those in the middle of town, have decent sized yards that are well taken care of. The houses generally look different, but not those in the subdivisions, those usually look very similar.
The town is mostly known for the Octagon House, which was the first preschool in Wisconsin, but it is a boring attraction that not many people are interested in. Riverfest is fun some years, there are rides and a lot of food vendors and live music.
