I live in Eloy, AZ and I would say that everyone knows everyone in this town, everyone is close and takes care of who ever needs it. The people in this small town might not be rich but work hard to take care of ourselves and love as well as being family oriented make up for anything people may lack monetarily. Eloy has a handful of family owned businesses and they are supported by are peers, many "hidden" pit stops in Eloy are worth giving a try you might just find a place to recommend to family and friends.
There is a small little town between Eloy, and Casa grande, AZ named Toltec. This quiet and peaceful town has a Circle K and a couple other convenience stores, a Family Dollar, couple of restaurants over the overpass is T.A TRUCK STOP. Right in the middle of this tiny town, Toltec School District 22 sits. This school includes grades K-8, around 400 students go to this school. Now, if you like small communities and love the idea of your children going to a small school this would be perfect, You would think the students would be living up to their potential. WRONG! The things I would absolutely change without a doubt would be how the students are being taught, there are no arts, no music, no individuality whatsoever, just cookie cutter learning for cookie cutter kids, by the cookie cutter staff. The teachers who call themselves"treasure hunters" find no treasure at all. They selfie themselves and put it on Facebook like we are supposed to be amazed by what a shitty job they are doing.
Eloy is compact but filled with beautiful people. I've lived in Eloy for 11 years and it has been a great living experience. Because Eloy is so small, everyone knows everyone, and I love that. It's funny going to the store "real quick", but end up getting home an hour later due to the number of people who stop to talk to you. Eloy is very alive and active. Something I think could make Eloy a little better is having a place where families/teenagers can go to have a good time instead of driving 30 minutes to Casa Grande, where there are more stores and entertainment places. A Harkin Theatres is an example of bringing joy and safety for the people or Eloy. Having a close place to go to, can reduce the risk of teenage lives.
