The city is a magnificent environment in which you can find everything you need in a few mile radius. The schools nearby are ranked as one of the best in the nation and the overall safety is fantastic. To top it off, Ellicott City is quite heavily diversified. You will see many different nationalities such as Indians, Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, and the list continues. The only problem that other people may see with Ellicott City is the fact that it is not really urbanized. It takes about thirty minutes to an hour to drive to Baltimore or travel to any other urban city. Overall, Ellicott City is a ten out of ten location to live and experience.

I have lived in Ellicott City my entire life, and I would not change that. Ellicott City has offered so much to me and my family, in terms of education, job opportunities, and friendships. I have received an excellent education and my neighborhood has always been filled with friendly faces. I love that there is a lot of developed area, such as Route 40, where you can access restaurants, gyms, gas stations, and other amenities. However, Historic Ellicott City offers a quaint and unique small town feel as well.
Ellicott City has a lot of great restaurants of all varieties. My favorite is Hot Pot Hero, and right next to it, there's a Kung fu tea! I love to get bubble tea all the time. There's also a bowling alley, cafes, and work out places. And all of these great places on on route 40.
