Ellenton is a great place to live. It has a mix of young and old. Plenty of police protection. The schools are not that good. The teacher care, but the students are students. I had 4 children in the school system.

Seniors it is best! Churches work together. Night life is horrible. Have to really hunt. If you are a home body it is perfect. Snow birds make traffic difficult but not bad. It is definitely not LA gridlock.

There's a lot to like about Ellenton. The location is ideal to commute to Bradenton, Sarasota, Pinellas or Tampa. There are great stores at the outlet mall, a good choice of eating establishments and both Publix and Detwiler's Farm Market if you want fresh from local farms. Ellenton should be much more than a connector city, and if Manatee County ever decides to recognize this by providing more services like they do for the surrounding areas, this hidden gem could become a flawless diamond.
There is nothing to do, boring, lots of old people. New Starbucks though. There is some traffic, not bad. A good amount of fast food, not much else. A few schools around. A few job opportunities. Mostly have to drive to bigger cities for better jobs, food, people, etc. St. Pete is 30 minutes away, Tampa is an hour. Always hot and gross.
